The Head of Commercial Insights will play a leadership role in building the Vonoprazan franchise, including H-pylori, GERD, and life cycle management. This position is responsible to create a vision for insight gathering and actionable interpretation. Focus will encompass all customer groups – HCP, patients, consumers, and payers. Direct reports will be accountable for primary market research, data analysis, and competitive intelligence. This role will partner with cross functional leadership and build a team to execute the brand strategy.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Build and lead a team that generates and interprets commercial insights that will drive brand performance
  • Develop and execute primary market research plans that will inform positioning, message, creative, pricing, and value story; inclusive of qualitative and quantitative research
  • Identify, purchase, and integrate data management to inform strategy and measure success
  • Recommend technology solutions that results in streamlined data access
  • Oversee competitive intelligence for the organization
  • Lead teams in identifying key performance indicators and diagnostic metrics
  • Support revenue forecasts with fact based recommended assumptions
  • Identify and frame strategic choices, and lead processes to drive decision making
  • Lead the process of business development opportunity due diligence
  • Selection of key agencies and vendors to support the brand
  • Member of Commercial Senior Leadership Team

qualifications job banner

  • BA/BS required; MBA/advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 12 years of broad industry experience
  • Insight leadership experience encompassing HPC, Consumer, and Access is preferred
  • Experience in managing sophisticated metric reporting data sets is preferred
  • Previously held marketing role experience is preferred
  • Launch readiness experience, including development of positioning and launch campaign
  • Ability to lead a team through buying process and market map development
  • Experience with price and access studies is preferred
  • Collaborative mindset to work across functions as both a leader and support function
  • Quantitative and analytical problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively and efficiently drive performance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
